Day 24: Carson City, Nevada
To the Nevada State Railroad Museum to ride this Edwards railcar from 1926 made in Sanford, North Carolina.
We head out to Genoa by car, which has an excellent town museum in an old court house, situated at a stop on the old Pony Express. A mule deer is crossing the road as we head into town. How pleasant to park the car without being harassed. We stop for a hotdog at a fundraiser and chat to folk about the smart car. We spot some Wood Storks and a Great Blue Heron on a pond outside of town. We are at the base of the Sierra Nevada and explore the Luther Pass before heading back to Carson City.
