Late start and two whole extra hours in bed - deep joy. To Staines from Lewes with the day job by car to see a supplier. The gas station at Leatherhead where I usually stop is coned off and I find myself on the M25 running out of gas. Only the Brits would build a motorway without service stations. I'm running on empty and trusting to luck. Divert through Chertsey where I spot a Sainsbury's supermarket - quick pitstop for gas and a snack - they have none of my favourite stuff but no matter - I'm rolling again.
Back home and 133 miles on the clock - important to keep clocking up the miles as British company car tax gets less the further you drive - work that one out. No matter - with the current state of the railways we're all motorists now.

KARTHIKEYAN WINS IN KOREA
INDIAN driver Narain Karthikeyan sped to a dominant victory in the International Formula Three Korea Super Prix at Changwon City Raceway, South Korea, today (Sunday, November 26).
After taking pole position on Saturday, Carlin Motorsport racer Karthikeyan led both legs of the event from start to finish. This went a long way towards making up for the disappointment of crashing out of the lead at the Macau Grand Prix the previous week-end.

Macau Grand Prix 2000 - NOVEMBER 19TH
The Grand Prix was won by local hero Andre Couto for Opel Team BSR in a Dallara F399 Opel Spiess. This victory was a long time coming for Couto, who won at his sixth attempt, but also for team manager Bertram Schäfer who last won the Grand Prix with the Dane John Nielsen back in 1984.
